Baja California Peninsula — Est. 2020
Premium vehicles built for the terrain. Flexible booking, local expertise, and zero compromise on adventure.
Our Fleet
Hand-selected and fully prepped vehicles — from coast-to-coast Sprinters to lifted desert trucks. Ready when you are.
Sleep under the stars without sacrificing comfort. Our Sprinters come fully kitted — bed, fridge, solar, and a rooftop rack built for whatever you're hauling.
Lifted, locked, and loaded. Our Tacomas and Tundras take the rough stuff in stride — river crossings, canyon tracks, and everything in between.
The do-everything platform. Comfortable enough for the drive down, capable enough when the pavement ends. Perfect for groups of 3–4.

"From the moment I arrived to pick up the truck, the service was excellent. They explained the camper's operation in detail. In my case, it was the NorthRanger. It has everything and more. The return trip was also excellent and efficient. The release of the security deposit was quick; they really work proactively to avoid any delays. 10/10"
"Rented the Tacoma for a surf trip. Got into places I never would have in a normal rental. Zero hassle at the border, truck was fully sorted, and they answered every question I threw at them."
"Booking was ridiculously easy. Showed up, truck was prepped and ready, they gave us a 20-minute walkthrough of everything. Felt like borrowing a friend's rig, not a rental."
The Journal
Routes, gear reviews, local intel, and dispatches from the road.
1,200 miles of the most varied terrain in North America. Here's everything you need to know before you go — the good pavement, the bad washboard, and the stops worth every minute.
After two seasons of blown sidewalls in the sierras, we made the call. Here's an honest breakdown of what changed, what didn't, and what we'd do differently.
Turquoise water, zero cell signal, and tacos three times a day. The East Cape rarely shows up on Instagram — which is exactly why we love it.
Our Fleet
Curated, maintained, and ready. Pick the platform that fits your trip — not the other way around.
Our flagship rig. Mercedes Sprinter with a full expedition build — queen bed, Webasto diesel heat, compressor fridge, and enough power to run it all for a week off-grid.
When the road ends, this is where the trip begins. Lifted Tacoma or Tundra (fleet varies) with ARB bumpers, WARN winch, and overland rack. Rock sliders standard.
All-road capable and people-friendly. Seats five, hauls everything, and gets you where you're going without drama. Roof box, GPS, and camp kit included.
The ultimate Baja combo. A dual-sport or adventure moto on a hitch rack behind your Sprinter. Drive the pavement, ride the singletrack. Two trips in one.

Our Story
We didn't set out to start a rental company. We set out to drive Baja — and built the thing we wished existed.
Who We Are
Van Baja started in 2020 with one Sprinter, a handshake deal with a mechanic in Ensenada, and a hunch that people wanted something different from a rental company — a crew that actually knew the roads and gave a damn about the experience.
Three years later we've put over 400,000 miles on the peninsula, built a fleet of purpose-built rigs, and made a lot of friends along the way. We know which camp on the East Cape has the best snorkeling. We know which section of the BCS highway has the worst washboard in summer. We know the taco stand outside Guerrero Negro that's worth the detour every time.
That local knowledge is part of what you rent from us — not just the keys.
Leave No Trace kits in every vehicle. Offset credits built into every rental. We take this seriously.
We hire local mechanics, source our gear from local suppliers, and send customers to local businesses whenever we can.
The price you see is the price you pay. No surprise insurance charges, no mileage limits, no B.S.
The Crew
Born in Ensenada, raised on surf and dirt roads. Marco has driven the peninsula more times than he can count and still finds new reasons to go back.
Former overlanding guide turned obsessive van builder. Sara specs every rig, does every pre-trip inspection, and can diagnose a diesel knock in her sleep.
Dani has driven every segment of the Baja Divide on two wheels and four. She builds your route guide and is always a call away when things go sideways.
